Tournament Rules

General Rules

~ All players must be registered and eligible before participating in the competition. ~ No entries will be allowed after entry registration closes. ~ Players must check in before scheduled match times. ~ Matches will proceed according to the official schedule unless otherwise communicated. ~ The tournament committee reserves the right to adjust schedules, formats, or rules where necessary. ~ Players are responsible for knowing match times and court assignments. ~ Player will be required to keep their own scores during the match unless an umpire is provided. ~ Any disputes must be reported immediately to tournament officials. ~ Failure to comply with rules may result in penalties or disqualification. ~ Players may be required to umpire for matches when called upon.

Match Rules

~ Matches follow standard tennis rules unless specified otherwise. ~ Match format: > 1 set of first to 6 with difference of 2 games (or communicated otherwise prior to the match day). > At 6–6 games players will proceed to a 7-points tiebreak with difference of 2 points. ~ Warm-up time up-to a maximum of 5 minutes. ~ Players must be ready to play within 5 minutes of match call. ~ Scoring must be agreed upon by both players before leaving the court. ~ In case of disagreement, the official’s decision will be final after reviewing both cases. ~ If a player retires, the opponent advances during knockouts. ~ Coaching is allowed during matches as per tennis standard rules.

Code of Conduct

~ Players must demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times. ~ Respect towards opponents, officials and spectators. ~ No abusive language, gestures, or unsportsmanlike behavior. ~ Players must comply with dress code requirements (if applicable). ~ Any form of cheating, match-fixing or manipulation is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification or suspension. ~ Players must follow and adhere to all venue rules and regulations. ~ Repeated misconduct may lead to suspension or ban. ~ Defaulted players will lose both their ranking points and prizes.

Minor Violations > Warning issued > Examples: - Late arrival (within grace period). - Minor unsportsmanlike conduct. Moderate Violations > Point/game penalty. > Examples: - Repeated warnings. - Verbal abuse. - Delay of play. Severe Violations > Match default/disqualification. > Examples: - Physical abuse. - Cheating or falsifying results. - Refusal to continue match. Administrative Actions > Suspension from tournament. > Ban from future events. > Removal from rankings or records.
