52-Week Rolling Rankings

Ranking points remain active for 52 weeks from the date they are earned. Once they expire, they no longer contribute to a player's ranking, ensuring rankings reflect recent competitive performance rather than historical achievements.

Tournament Structure & Competition Flow

SetPoint supports structured tournament formats, player seeding and draw progression workflows that help competitions remain fair, predictable and easy to manage.

Player Seeding

Seeding helps distribute strong competitors throughout a draw to reduce the likelihood of top-ranked players meeting in the early rounds.

Step 1

Rankings Reviewed

Available rankings and player records are considered.

Step 2

Seeds Assigned

Eligible players receive tournament seed positions.

Step 3

Draw Generated

Players are placed into the tournament structure.

Step 4

Competition Begins

Matches progress according to tournament format.

Rankings often influence seeding, but organizers may apply competition-specific seeding rules(manual seeding) where permitted by tournament regulations.

Supported Tournament Formats

Different events require different competition structures. SetPoint currently supports the following formats.

Knockout (KO)

Players are eliminated after a loss. Winners advance through successive rounds until a champion is determined.

Best suited for competitive tournaments with larger player fields.

Round Robin (RR)

Every participant plays multiple opponents, creating balanced competition and additional match opportunities.

Ideal for smaller events, leagues and player development competitions.

Group + Knockout (GPKO)

Players compete within groups before qualifying into knockout rounds, combining guaranteed matches with elimination play.

Suitable for medium and large tournaments seeking both fairness and competitiveness.

Match Results & Scoring

Match outcomes drive statistics, tournament progression and ranking updates. Accurate score recording helps preserve competitive integrity and historical records.

Match Scores

Record official match scorelines and outcomes.

Tournament Progression

Winners advance automatically through tournament structures.

Statistics Updates

Player records are recalculated after competition results.

Ranking Impact

Eligible results contribute to ranking calculations.

Rules, Conduct & Competition Governance

SetPoint promotes fair play, sportsmanship and transparent competition. Organizers may enforce tournament-specific regulations in addition to platform-wide competition standards.

Fair Play

All participants are expected to compete honestly and respect competition outcomes.

Respect

Respect officials, opponents, organizers, club staff and spectators.

Compliance

Tournament regulations, eligibility requirements and scheduling rules should be followed at all times.

Integrity

Rankings, statistics and competition records depend on accurate reporting and responsible participation.

Competition Decisions

Tournament administrators and organizers may make decisions regarding player eligibility, scheduling, score verification, draw adjustments and dispute resolution where required.

Withdrawals, Penalties & Match Outcomes

Certain circumstances may affect tournament progression, rankings and player statistics.

Withdrawal

A player withdraws from a tournament before competing.

Walkover

A player advances because their opponent is unable to compete.

Retirement

A match ends after it has started due to injury or inability to continue.

Disqualification

Removal from a competition following serious breaches of rules.
